Ratcliffe's last-gasp drop-goal seals success at Salem
The away side flew out of the blocks early on, keen to put last week's disappointing defeat at Hullensians behind them, and they soon led after fly-half Tomasz Chadwick touched down for a try that was converted by Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe, playing out of position at full-back, then kicked a penalty to send Scarborough 10-0 up, but Salem added a penalty to reduced their arrears to 10-3 heading into the interval and then restored parity with a converted try in the 42nd minute.
