HULL CITY WATCH - Day To Forget At Millwall - comment on this story
Hull City crashed to a 4-0 defeat against Millwall at The New Den on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers were mercilessly ripped apart by the rampant Lions on an afternoon to forget.
City's starting eleven was unchanged from last week but there were a couple of changes amongst the substitutes.
Robert Koren was included on the bench in place of Nick Barmby while Liam Cooper came in for Seyi Olofinjana, who left for a loan spell at Cardiff earlier this week.
City made a fairly composed start to the game and had a half chance on six minutes when John Bostock turned his man, but he was well off target with a shot from 20 yards.
However, Millwall seemed to have the attacking edge and they made it count on 14 minutes. James Henry delivered a corner into the box and Steve Morison appeared to be unmarked to head home past Matt Duke.
It should have been two six minutes later when Kevin Lisbie caught Kamil Zayatte in possession. But the striker was in two minds as to whether to go for goal or square to the unmarked Morison and in the end he took too long before firing tamely at Duke.
When City did gain some ground to win a corner, they couldn't make it count.
And on 29 minutes it was 2-0 to the home side. Liam Trotter kept the ball in play down the right before playing back to Henry. He produced a great cross to the near post where Lisbie stooped to head into the net.
With Millwall well on top, City made a change nine minutes before the break as Paul McShane replaced Nolberto Solano.

Obviously unhappy with his side's first half display, Nigel Pearson made a double change at the interval with Koren and Mark Cullen replacing Garcia and Will Atkinson. Bostock played in a more advanced role with Cullen with Koren playing down the right.
Millwall had the first chance of the second period when Zayatte chested the ball straight into Morison's path, but the striker blasted high and wide.
It wasn't long before they extended their lead and it came from another corner. The set-piece maybe shouldn't have gone the Lions' way, but when Henry delivered it to the back post, Morison was on hand to loop a header back over Duke and Ian Ashbee on the line and into the corner of the net.
It should have been four on 57 minutes when Henry whipped in a quality free kick onto the head of Paul Robinson but his effort flew over.
It was four on the hour mark. Henry was again the creator, crossing low for Trotter to fire home from close range.
City finally managed a shot on target in the 71st minute when Cullen set up Koren, but the low strike was easily saved by David Forde.
Andy Dawson had City's best chance of the game when he raced forward into the Millwall box to get on the end of Kevin Kilbane's clever ball. The left back's shot was saved by the legs of Forde and there was nobody there to take advantage of the rebound.
Millwall substitute Darren Carter almost made an immediate impact when he met another immaculate Henry cross, but Duke was equal to the header. Another chance then fell to Robinson, but again he couldn't hit the target.
There was certainly no way Millwall were going to give their clean sheet up easily and Forde spread himself well to deny Koren from close range.
Cullen was the last to try and beat Forde, but his 20-yarder was held by the keeper.
