Ayton Under-13s played host to rivals Eastfield Under-13s in the Scarborough & District Minor League’s Coast & County Radio division on Sunday afternoon.

Ayton powered to a 17-1 home triumph at Wilson’s Lane.

The home team scored two early goals from striker Lee Cappleman and then quickly added a third when usual goalkeeper Thomas Pinder scored a 30-yard free-kick.

Tyler Cross and Thomas Scales added a brace of goals apiece for Ayton, with a Kien Bolten tap-in completing the first-half scoring for the villagers.

Into the second half Cappleman scored again to complete his hat-trick for the village club, running from inside his own half taking on several players and finishing smartly.

Then two more long-range Pinder free-kicks, a couple more Tyler Cross goals and two more from hot-shot Cappleman added to the tally before Alfie Pearson scored two goals to complete the scoring for the home team.

Thomas Pinder and Sasha Sobol were named as the men of the match for Ayton as they ran the game from central midfield for the hosts.

Ayton are scheduled to be playing at home to Sleights in their next game this Sunday, while Eastfield will hit the road to Heslerton.

POMFS Under-12s League pacesetters FC Seamer surged to an 11-1 home success against Yorkshire Coast FA.

The hosts were 4-1 ahead at the half-time interval thanks to goals from Noah Salt, Riley Scott, Bobby Fields and a 20-yard strike from Oaklea Bell.

Albie Lawton smashed in four goals after the interval for Seamer, with Salt completing his hat-trick with a couple more goals and Scott adding his second to cap a great team display by the hosts.

The Seamer Under-12s man of the match award was presented to Bobby Owen.

Seamer are set to play at Hunmanby this Sunday, while Yorkshire Coast FA were scheduled to host Scalby.
