Filey Fishing Festival off to a flying start
There were 82 entries for the shore match, which is 20 more than last year’s equivalent fixture, so the signs are promising for a popular festival this time around.
Redcar’s Mark Smith won the greatest weight of fish match with a bag of 19lb 5oz 1drm, with Lebberston’s Phil Arliss second on 17-0-1 and Scarborough’s Steve Hoyle in third with 14-2-6.
