All four of Beverley Town's Saturday fixtures were washed out but a much drier Sunday saw excellent wins for the 3rd and 4th teams.
York Senior League

Division One

Crayke v 1st XI match abandoned. The 1st XI managed just 11 overs at Crayke and had reached 57 for 1 when rain stopped play.

Division Two

2nd XI v Ripon match abandoned. League Leaders Ripon on 103 for 4
from only 16 overs, Darren Eddom 3 for 48.

East Yorkshire Alliance

Premier

3rd XI v Patrington match abandoned. 3rd XI on 45 for 3, Tim Fordon 33 no.

Beverley 3rd XI beat Kirkella by 103 runs

3rd XI 195 for 9

Kirkella 92 all out

The 3rd Xl had a comprehensive victory on Sunday away at Kirkella in difficult conditions. Beverley won the toss and decided to take first knock on a green damp wicket. They got off to an excellent start with Rob Todd hitting a quickfire 51. Beverley then lost a couple of quick wickets but Paul Best managed to stop the rot with a determined 34. An unbroken last wicket partnership of 40 between Adam Nicholson (21 no) and the evergreen Ray Teal (18 no) enabled Beverley to total a respectable 195 for 9 from their 48 overs.

Kirkella played their shots from ball one but an excellent all round team performance made things hard going for the home side. James Emery (3-23) and Dave Ricardo (4-48) did the damage with the ball as Kirkella were all out for 92.

Division 2

Gilberdyke v 4th XI match abandoned. The 4ths were on 74 without loss with Neil Goforth (35 no) and Ben Fish (33 no) both going well.

Beverley 4th XI beat HICE by 126 runs

4th XI 227 for 4

HICE 101 all out

A crushing win on Sunday for the 4ths was achieved by three excellent batting partnerships and some good quality bowling. Batting first, on another superb track on the main square, an opening stand of 72 between Neil Goforth and Ben Fish (44), was followed by 76 between Goforth (68) and Rich Lightowler (51). A third wicket stand of 68 included Dave Parry hitting an enormous six as he reached 45 not out in a total of 227 for 4.

HICE were reduced to 48 for 5 as Matthew Fitzpatrick (1-21), James Turner (2-18) and Sam Woollard (3-18) all put in top spells. Reserve, reserve keeper Parry could not be kept out of the game, a highlight being when he just failed to cling on to a very difficult chance. Gareth Richardson (1-5) mopped up the tail as HICE were all out for 101 giving Town another maximum 20 point haul which puts them top of Division 2.

Newland Evening League

The Tuesday XI beat Fenners in a superb game at Norwood. Fenners made 138 for 3 as slow bowlers Sam Welburn (2-29) and Pip Pearson (0-27) bowled economically at the end of the innings.

Beverley timed their reply to perfection with Paul Fleming (25no) and Graeme Taylor (10no) finishing the game in the last over after Tim Smith (51) and John Vodden (20) laid the foundation.

Junior Cricket

Under 17

The under 17s turned in another good performance beating Sutton by 89 runs. The in-form James Broekhuizen scored another half century with Ben Fish and Al Nightingale supporting in Town's 145 for 5.
