BEVERLEY Braves played a double header against a very strong Lions outfit, unfortunately losing out in both.
Braves A 4

West Hull Lions 9

BEVERLEY started strongly in the first, both in attack and defense, with tries from Darcy and Connor.

The Lions looked threatening at every tackle, though, and put the game beyond the braves with a 5 2 interval l
ead.

But the Braves never lost heart and put two more on the board thanks to excellent tries from Tyler and Cameron.

Braves A 3

West Hull Lions 7

THE second game saw much the same as the first, the Lions coming out with more aggression in attack.

Connor scored a try in the first half with a strong run down the middle.

The Braves added two further scores after the break through Tyler and Lewis.

Ultimately, the opposition proved too strong, but Beverley can take heart as the Lions will not see many defeats this season.

Beverley Braves B v West Hull Tigers

BEVERLEY Braves B took on two West Hull sides in their latest round of matches.

The first game was a tough encounter with West Hull Tigers. A promising start saw the Braves trail just 4-2 at half-time with Marcus Walker barging over from short range for the first try and William Wallis scoring the second.

Playing seven-a-side meant there were lots of open spaces on the pitch and in the second half West's exploited them with some great rugby to run out 8-2 winners, though Beverley kept on trying throughout the game.

Beverley Braves B v. West Hull Panthers

THE second game was much more evenly matched against a West Hull Panthers side who have played a similar amount of matches together to the Braves B squad.

The Braves started well with tries for Harry Matthews and Thomas Cowen.

Strong defense, notably from Nathan Rowbottom and Ryan Deane built the foundation for further tries from Harry, William and Thomas, as the Braves ran out 5-2 winners in an entertaining match.
