Beverley Braves Under 8s
Beverley Braves Under 8s got their summer league season off to a flyer
The first game was against a strong running Hull Victoria. Braves tackled well in patches, and man of the match for his defence was Thomas Cohen. There were also good runs from Alfie Schultz and Connor Weinman. Joe Rose ran well and had a solid game in defence, Lewis Gaden scored a try after taking on four defenders, turning in the tackle to score. Darcy O'Connor had a good game and Marcus Darley was close to the line but had a head high shot to stop him scoring his first try.

The second game, against Cottingham Tigers, saw a better defensive display from the Beverley side. Man of the match was Joe Rose, who played well in both matches and grabbed himself a fantastic try.

Connor Weinman scored his first try after running half the length of the field, stepping the first defender and sprinting to the corner.

Both coaches were pleased with the lads and look to build on this performance.
