York Senior League
Division One
Beverley Town 1st Xl (18 pts) drew with Hornsea 1st X1 (27 pts)
Hornsea 209-9
Beverley Town 109-9
Town hosted an old East Yorkshire Cup derby and a top of the table clash when Hornsea made the trip to Norwood Park.
Hornsea, who lead Division One, were invited to bat and made a fast start as Paul Clappison (46) capitalised on some loose opening bowling. Despite the fast start and some clangers in the field, Beverley were able to restrict Hornsea to 209 for 9 with tight bowling from Simon Roe (2 wickets) and Steven Blake (5-85). Ian Sugdon chipped in with a spell at the end.

Beverley set about the run chase with an opening partnership of 50 but, with the exception of Andy Burton who carried his bat for an excellent 88 not out, the Beverley top order were unable to impose themselves on the game. Despite a South Africa style miscalculation of runs needed, Beverley managed to reach the 90 per cent target for additional points, finishing on 190 for 9 to claim 18 points from a below par performance.

York Senior League
Division Two
Fenner (30pts) beat Beverley Town 2nd Xl (6 pts) by 49 runs
Fenner 185-9
Beverley Town 136
Fenners made 185 for 9 in their allotted overs with Ian Goforth (4-44) the most successful bowler. Faisal Abid took 3 for 63 from 14.
Tim Smith (31) and Ali Brumfield (22) gave Town a good start with another 50 opening stand and Jonny Vodden (22) looked in good form. Only Paul Fleming (17) made any runs as the 2nds fell away and the last wicket fell in the final over of the day.

East Yorkshire Alliance
Premier Division
Beverley 3rd XI lost to North Ferriby 1st XI by 114 runs
North Ferriby 275 for 6 dec
Beverley Town 161 all out
The 3rds were well beaten by top of the table North Ferriby at Norwood. Ferriby made a huge 275 for 6 declared in 41 overs and bowled Town out for only 161. There were some decent efforts by the Town batsmen as Rich Moon (43) helped by Rich Thompson (33) kept the Ferriby attack at bay for a number of overs. James Broekhuizen made 17 at the end of the Town innings.

East Yorkshire Alliance
Division 2
Beverley 4th XI lost to Wawne by 3 wickets
Beverley Town 147 all out
Wawne 150 for 7
The 4ths lost to Wawne at Hodgsons by three wickets, despite recovering from 64 for 5 to make a respectable 147 all out led by veteran Ian Morrison (33) and Tom Bennett (20). Earlier Neil Goforth (29) had held together the top order.
Bennett was to the fore with his bowling, taking 2 for 12, and the introduction of Ben Fish (3-22) gave Town a chance, but Wawne made 150 for 7 with three overs to spare. The 4ths were left to rue some missed chances on a day when they relinquished their leading position.
