RACING trainer Declan Carroll has continued to enjoy a strong run of form after recording his third winner of the week.
The Sledmere-based handler enjoyed his eighth winner of the turf flat season when Hits Only Vic overcame testing conditions to win the Baker Tilly Handicap at Ripon on Tuesday.

The four-year-old was sent off a 5/1 shot in the hands of jockey David Allan and went on to score by two and three quarter lengths.

The result came after winners at Carlisle and Thirsk on Monday.
Elsewhere, the yard's star hurdler Pilca tackled larger obstacles for the first time in a novices' chase at Sedgefield on Tuesday evening.

He finished third in the five runner contest at the County Durham track.
