A TWO-day meeting kicks off July's action at Beverley Racecourse this weekend.
The track stages its second evening meeting of the summer today (Friday) with a six race fixture getting underway at 6.45pm.
That meeting will be followed by a seven race card on Saturday afternoon, with the first race due off at 2.20pm.

Friday e
vening's featured contest is The Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Pudding Handicap Stakes over the extended mile.

The race is one of three on the card sponsored by the Hull-based William Jackson and Son, who are supporting racing on the Westwood for the 39th year.

They also support the The Ferguson Fawsitt Arms Handicap over a mile and a half and the William Jackson Bakery Stakes, a handicap contest for three-year-old fillies.

Elsewhere, the Westbridge Homes Classic Stakes over five furlongs is supported by the South Cave construction firm for a second year.
Hall Construction of Hull sponsor the opening seller while Cottingham Parks and Golf Country Club are backing the two-year-old novice contest in conjunction with the European Breeders Fund.

Saturday's card is Coachman Caravans Day, with the Hull firm supporting all seven races on the card.

The big race of the afternoon will be the Coachman Caravans Handicap over five furlongs, which offers prize money of £10,000.

One of the main support features, the Eltherington Maiden Stakes for two-year-olds, also takes place over the minimum trip.

The giant screen will assist racegoers to follow all the action on the track.
