THIS year's racing at Beverley enters the home straight next week with the first of the month's cards taking place next Tuesday, September 11.
The seven race fixture, which is due to get under way at 2.30pm, is the first of three meetings taking place this month to bring the curtain down on the Flat season at the Westwood.

One of the country’s leading backers of racing in Britain will be supporting the feature race of the day - the £10,000 Weatherbys Printing Handicap Stakes over a mile and quarter.

Meanwhile, the two year olds will have their opportunity to shine in the Stars of the Future Nursery Handicap Stakes over the extended seven furlongs.

And the speed merchants will battle for the Beverley Annual Badgeholders Handicap Stakes over the minimum distance of five furlongs.

Lady amateur riders will also have their moment in the spotlight in the longest contest of the afternoon.

The mile and a half handicap is the latest in a series of races for lady jockeys supported by the York based company Sawfish Software.

Racegoers will be able to follow all of the action on the giant totesport screen, situated in the course enclosure.
