Stunning timelapse video of Northern Lights ‘photobombing’ Milky Way

Maciej Winiarczyk, who lives in Scotland, was stunned to see the bright lights of the aurora borealis shoot into view as he set up a timelapse of the galaxy.

The self-confessed aurora hunter was completely unaware that he’d be treated to the light show and admits the night lights took him completely by surprise.

Maciej, 43, said: “I’ve never seen an event like this before, despite hunting auroras for over three years.
