Warm Welcome Hubs offered for villagers in Sleights and Danby, near Whitby

A Warm Welcome with Wi-Fi is to be offered in Sleights and Danby, for people of all ages.

Soup will be served, with various games and Wi-Fi available.

Revival North Yorkshire is offering a Warm Welcome at Church House, in Sleights, starting on Tuesday January 10, from 12.30 to 3.30pm.

Anyone who wants to attend can go along and take part in a wide range of different activities, including dominoes, cards and meeting special visitors – last month, people met the North Yorkshire Moors Birds of Prey.

Danby Village Hall Trustees are working with Revival North Yorkshire to offer a Warm Welcome in Danby Village Hall starting on Wednesday January 11, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

Bowls, bingo, crafts and games will be available for those who want to take part or there is a warm, quiet room for those who prefer just to stay warm and use the Wi-Fi or chat to others.

Both Warm Welcome hubs will initially be for five weeks.
