Instead, along with her training partner, Carey will be running a 26 mile route around Scarborough on the same date - April 5.
She said: “We will definitely still run the distance, we’ve trained too hard to not do it now.”
Carey, already a keen gym-goer, has been training three to four times a week for the extra challenges she has set herself.

“The marathon training has been pretty tough.”
After completing all of her gruelling challenges, Carey plans to celebrate at the charity ball she is organising at Scalby and Newby village hall on November 7.
Attendees will be treated to a three course meal and music from local band Deep Sea Daggers.
Carey hopes to raise £1,000 for Saint Catherine’s.
She said: “I was always set on raising money for Saint Catherine’s.

“They have to raise a phenomenal amount of money each year to keep doing what they are doing so any opportunity to help them is great.”
A portion of the money she raises with also go to the mental health charity MQ.
