A primary school has won a Christmas tree festival for the second year running.
Youngsters at Cherry Burton Primary School entered their tree, called A Star is Born, into the Beverley Minster Christmas Festival and won the public vote for most popular entry.
The tree was covered in Nativity themed decorations made by the children and the festival was visited by around 3,500 people.
Co-headteachers Kathy Moore and Anne Lilly said: “We are delighted to have won again. The children have worked very hard making their beautiful decorations and to know people have enjoyed them is very rewarding.
“It is wonderful to be part of an event that brings together so many different groups within the community, telling their own story through their beautifully decorated tree. It is inspiring for the children to have their work on display in such a magnificent setting. We would like to thank the organisers for the opportunity to be part of such a fantastic event.”
