Humberside Police are appealing for information following the theft of five Chihuahuas from a house on Allison Lane, Lissett.

Among them was a Crufts champio, who was named Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts 2014.

Intruders broke into the house in Lissett between 9.30am and 4.50pm on Thursday 10 April.

Officers believe they may have used a wicker basket to take the dogs away from the house.

A Nikon D3200 camera and lenses were also taken during the burglary.

The owner of the Chihuahuas is desperate to find them.

A police spokesperson said: “These dogs need to be reunited with their owner and police are appealing for anyone who knows anything to contact them immediately so that we can have a happy ending to this story.”

If anyone has any information relation to this incident, they are asked to call the non-emergency telephone number 101, quoting log 493 of 10/04/2014. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
