TWO people accused of taking part in drug dealing near Driffield have appeared in court.
Margaret Mullen, 38, of Wellington Road, Bridlington, appeared shoulder-shoulder in the dock with Lewis Hill, 24, in court two at Hull Crown Court following a police investigation in to the supply of heroin.
Lewis Hill, 24, of Aidans Avenue, Sheffield, was stopped in a car with heroin hidden in the petrol tank on the A614 near Driffield. He was allegedly responding to a text from Ms Mullen. He is charged with possession with intent to supply 55.2 grams of heroin to Margaret Mullen. He also denied possession of crack cocaine on the A614 near Driffield on February 7 class A drug in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Margaret Mullen, 38, of Wellington Road, Bridlington, is charged with being concerned in the supply of 55.2 grams of heroin.
Barrister David Horne, who represented both Hill and Mullen, said they would both contest the charges.
Recorder James Adkin adjourned the case for a plea hearing on October 28 and trial at Hull Crown Court on November 25. Both defendants were allowed to walk free on bail.
