Tina cooks up charity meals
AWARD-WINNING restaurateur Tine Cerutti is again cooking up a Sunday takeaway to raise money for charity.
Tina and her team at Beverley’s Cerutti 2 restaurant will be cooking up hundreds of takeaway meals on Sunday November 20.
The meals will cost £3.50 each and all the money raised will go to Age UK East Riding to provide services for older people in the area.
Tina is also hoping to encourage people to be good neighbours by picking up one of the takeaway meals for elderly relatives or people living nearby.
Tina – who has raised thousands of pounds for charity – held a similar event last year when she and her team dished up more than 400 takeaway meals, which again raised funds for Age UK East Riding.
This time they are cooking up a roast chicken dinner and are again hoping to serve hundreds of portions.
“I am hoping that people will think about their elderly relatives or neighbours, who may not be able to come along to collect a lunch for themselves, but would like to enjoy a hot meal,” she said.
“It is all about community spirit and I think we need a bit more caring and sharing,” Tina added.
The takeaway lunches will be served hot in foil containers for collection from Cerutti 2 in Station Square, Beverley between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Sunday November 20.
They may need warming up at home, and clear instructions for this will be included.

Payment must be made on collection from the restaurant on the day.
