The First Time Forager with Stephanie Moon
Following the success of ‘Restaurant Style Cooking’ with Stephanie Moon in February, The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School is hosting ‘The First Time Forager’ with the TV chef on the 28th May.
Alison Johnson from The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School said: “ Our cookery school is known for using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients but The First Time Forager class will take this to a whole new level as Stephanie teaches how to cook straight from our hedgerows!”
Stephanie is a keen forager and loves to use the food the countryside has to offer in her dishes. She said: “ At The First Time Forager class guests will learn to look at the wild side of food with a smile.”
Guests can join in the fun with a forager’s walk before cooking up a three-course meal using their foraged goods. The class is focused on local food and will include Whitby crab with asparagus, pork from JSR Farm and locally picked rhubarb.
Stephanie continued: “Hopefully will find some wild garlic, wood sorrel and chick weed to compliment our dishes. We will get stuck into the forage of East Yorkshire and depending on what we find will alter the final menu. Let’s see what the Yorkshire Wolds has to offer!”
The day runs from 9.30am to 3.30pm and includes a light lunch.
