Stuart Devlin silver box sells for £600 at Dee Atkinson and Harrison fine art auction

Have your say

Dee Atkinson and Harrison’s first Antique and Fine Art Auction of 2014 is taking place today and contains approximately 700 lots, thanks to the inclusion of items from two excellent local estates – George Smith, farmer, from Hollym and Joyce Watson from Kilham.

The sale began with silver and prices were well above current scrap value,

A trinket box crafted in 1979 by Stuart Devlin, which featured a hunting scene in relief depicting huntsmen and hounds, was estimated at £150 to £200, but it raised a very punchy £600.
