Sent to crown court

MAGISTRATES committed a man to crown court for trial for allegations of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Mr John Robert Beachell, 32, of Main Street, Beswick, Driffield, previously entered a plea of not guilty at Bridlington Magistrates Court on Wednesday 25 July to the charge of assault occasioning him actual bodily harm.

Presiding magistrate Alan Hardman, committed his case to Crown court at Kingston-upon-Hull for trial on Monday 1 October, and granted him unconditional bail.
