Edward McMillan-Scott MEP (Yorkshire & Humber, Liberal Democrat), the lead candidate for his party for the 22 May European elections, has again challenged his UKIP opposite number, Jane Collins, to a debate on ‘Europe: In or Out’.
This follows last night’s LBC and Sky News debate between Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage.
Ms Collins has twice accepted and twice refused such a debate, but Mr McMillan-Scott said today:
“It is obvious that the public has an appetite to know more about our position in Europe. I want a richer, stronger, safer, greener Britain in Europe. And UKIP wants out. I look forward to a debate that looks at the issues and the facts.”
