Richard Hulbert, commercial director at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, cycled from London’s Marble Arch to the Eiffel Tower in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The 300 mile challenge took place over four days and Richard who lives in Sheffield managed to raise an incredible £1,550 for the charity.
He commented: “A colleague in my team at work, Peter Hannon, recently had a ventricular assist device (VAD) fitted and is currently on the transplant list so the British Heart Foundation is a charity which is extremely close to me personally.
I had great support from friends and colleagues and together with a generous donation from the company was able to raise a fantastic £1,550 for the foundation which has been gratefully received.”
The British Heart Foundation is the UK’s biggest heart charity. The organisation funds groundbreaking research aimed at preventing heart disease and saving lives.
Peter Hannon, commercial buyer at Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire who lives in Wakefield said: “The British Heart Foundation is a great charity and one that helped me tremendously following my heart operation.
“I would like to thank Richard and all of my colleagues from Taylor Wimpey for their support and fundraising efforts as I am now on the road to recovery.”
