Post Mortem Result showed that Linda Merigo, of Clematis Close, Driffield, died of multiple stab wounds
HUMBERSIDE Police said in an official press statement today that a Post Mortem result had shown that Linda Merigo, of Clematis Close, Driffield, died of multiple stab wounds.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Steve Hibbitt from the Major Incident Team said: "A post mortem was conducted on Thursday September 2 and showed Linda Merigo died of multiple stab wounds.
"Alfredo Merigo was charged with murder last night and appeared at Beverley Magistrates Court this morning and will next appear at Hull Crown Court on Monday morning.
"Alfredo Merigo was the estranged husband of Linda Merigo and my heart goes out to the family at this tragic time.
"The family are currently being supported by specialist family liaison officers."
DCI Steve Hibbitt said: "If anyone who witnessed the incident on Wednesday night outside an address on Clematis Close in Driffield and has not been in touch with one of my officers, please contact the Major Incident Room on 01377 208989 to assist us with their inquiries."
