Police appeal to witness
A WITNESS who kindly left a note on a car in Saturday Market after it was damaged is urged to come forward.
As a red coloured Citroen Picasso car was parked directly outside the Natwest bank in Beverley on the evening of Thursday 19 January 2012, it is alleged another vehicle collided with it before promptly driving away from the scene, leaving no details.
It is believed that at about 7.30pm on Thursday 19 January, a blue coloured Vauxhall Meriva car allegedly drove into the Citroen Picasso’s driver’s side front corner and bumper, before quickly leaving the scene.
A witness, who was also in the Saturday Market at the time, kindly jotted down the offending vehicle’s details and placed them on the windscreen of the victim’s car.
Police investigating the fail to stop collision need the author of this letter to come forward, to help with their enquiries.
Any other independent witnesses who may have been in Saturday Market on that Thursday evening, who saw anything suspicious or witnessed the collision are asked to contact Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log number 649 of 19/01/2012.
