A man charged with assaulting two people in Driffield denied the allegations before Bridlington magistrates.
Mr Ian Makin, 58, of Hotham Road, Cranswick, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Drew Makin and Jane Makin by beating on Wednesday 5 February in Driffield.
In court on Wednesday 19 February the presiding magistrate Alan Hardman adjourned Mr Makin’s hearing for a trial back at Bridlington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 22 April.
Prosecution solicitor was Andrew Vaughan and in mitigation for Mr Makin was Fiona Tannock.
Mr Makin was granted conditional bail in the mean time, with instruction not to enter Hotham Road and not to communicate with Drew or Jane Makin.
