Jennings Computer Services in Beverley’s Georgian Quarter was host to the presentation of a brand new iPad mini to the winner of the Driffield and District Business Club’s Prize Draw on Friday. Richard Walker of Daleside Printing won a year’s membership of the Club and, in collaboration with Jennings Computer Services, the Driffield and District Business Club were able to include the iPad mini in his prize. Mike Jennings presented the iPad personally at his recently opened Beverley shop alongside Jim Ezard, Chairman of the Driffield and District Business Club.
“I must admit it came as a bit of a surprise,” Richard says of his winning the prize, “The iPad mini and a years membership to the Driffield Business Club will, I am sure, help me get my business up and running and will be a great asset to me.”
He has high hopes of the Club too, “Daleside Printing may only have been operating for a couple of months but I have over 12 years experience in the design and printing industry and I am confident that by joining the Business Club I will receive the right advice on how to run things and how to go about promoting myself in a professional manner.”
“I am very pleased to welcome Richard to the Club. I am sure he’ll be as big an asset to us as we are to him” said Jim Ezard, Club Chairman, going on to say, “and I’d also like to thank Mike for helping with the iPad mini. We’re proud to be associated with Jennings, they’re just the kind of high quality small business our Club is dedicated to promoting.”
Back on the subject of advice and promotion Jim said,”In the near future we will be hosting a visitors’ day where non-members will be treated to a free breakfast and a presentation from a guest speaker, which will be quite a big event”.
Before that on September the 6th guest speaker Shahida Iqbal, assertiveness training consultant, will be making a presentation at the Club’s usual fortnightly meeting at the Old Mill in Langtoft. Non-members are welcome at all Club meetings.
