JetXtra.com is due to start flights from Humberside Airport to the Balearic island of Majorca this coming week to meet the high demand of the school holidays, the company recommenced flying out of the regions airport in May with a weekly service to Alicante on the Costa Blanca.
In January this year it was announced that a deal had been reached with British Airways which would see state of the art Embraer jets operating flights for jetXtra, this arrangement means that the pilots, crew and aircraft come from BA, meeting BA’s high engineering and training standards. The first flight of this year took off for Alicante; gateway to Benidorm on Saturday 24th May and is being followed by a second flight to the Mediterranean island of Majorca.
The first flight to Palma in Majorca will take off this Saturday at 14:35, just over 2 hours after the Alicante flight departs from the airport. The service will operate weekly until the 6th September covering the busiest period of the year when many families decide to spend a week or two on holiday.
