Sue Ryder shop in Driffield is appealing to shoppers and the local community to help it raise £250 - which would cover the cost of a specialist nurse for two days - by getting involved in its summer fundraising event at the store on 21 August.
The shop team at Sue Ryder is staging a `Summer Madness` event, including a cake stall, lucky dip, tombola and a 25% off all clothing event. Staff and volunteers are encouraging local people to get involved. So come along and join us for a cuppa!
Judith Goodbody the Shop Manager said, “We are appealing for local people to get involved and help us raise as much money as we can for Sue Ryder. By supporting us in this way, local people can help our doctors, nurses and health and social care colleagues continue to make a real difference to the lives of thousands of people each year.”
Summer Fundraising is a national event for Sue Ryder that raises more than £150,000 each year. It helps Sue Ryder provide incredible, expert and compassionate end of life and long-term care for people living with terminal illnesses.
