Health bosses are promising to be “All Ears” at an event in Hull on March 11.
Humber NHS Foundation Trust is encouraging people with an interest in health and wellbeing to attend a listening event at the Endsleigh Centre, Beverley Road, Hull.
The Trust provides a very wide range of community and mental health services in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. These are services both in hospitals and clinics and out in the community such as district nurses (in the East Riding), psychological treatments as well as therapies such as physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and dietetics (in Hull and throughout the East Riding).
“We want the people who use or have used our services to tell us how well they think we’re doing,” explained Angie Mason, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Nursing at Humber NHS Foundation Trust. “We provide a lot of different services and chances are, you or someone you know will have experienced treatment or advice from Humber NHS Foundation Trust first hand. We want to know where you think we have performed well for you and the people you care about and let us know what you would like us to improve.
“Every year the Trust publishes a Quality Statement. We want your feedback to make sure the Quality Statement says a lot more about our services from the point of view of people who have experienced them first hand. For example, we want to know whether you feel safe in our hands, how effective you think our services are and how well they fit your needs as an individual. Above all, we want to ensure our patients always feel they have been treated with compassion by us and if this occasionally doesn’t happen, we want to know about it.”
The event, which lasts from 9am until 1pm, will be a relaxed informal morning in a peaceful setting with tea/coffee and cakes. Members of the public who attend to give their views will also receive a small thank you from the Trust in the form of a Spring-themed Goody Bag.
“Spring is all about new growth,” explained Ms Mason. “We hope this event will see some seeds set in the form of shared ideas and fresh thinking that will flourish over the months and years to come.”
To reserve your place at the event or to get more information about how you can share your ideas if you are unable to attend, please contact Susan Hutchcroft on 01482 477843 or by email to email@example.com.
