Brownies wheelchair

Walkington Brownie hosted a special evening when Go Kids Go ran a wheelchair activities session for them.

The pack are studying for their ‘Disability Awareness badge’ and invited local children’s charity Go Kids Go to visit them.

Go Kids Go who are based in Beverley, run wheelchair skills training workshops for young wheelchair users across the UK and also run disability awareness workshops in mainstream schools.

The Brownies had a chance to try wheelchair skills including wheelies and also played wheelchair basket ball and tried wheelchair dancing.

The Brownies all had a fantastic time, joining in the activities but also came away with a greater understanding of the challenges faced by wheelchair users.

For more information on the work of Go Kids Go please contact Roy Wild on 01482 887163.
