Drinkers in Beverley are in for a real treat this Christmas, with the first ever Beverley Christmas Real Ale Festival set to take place in the town next month.
The event will take place at Beverley Rugby Club, on Norwood, on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 December, and there will be a range of real ales and ciders, as well as a few seasonal tipples, for people to enjoy.
Beverley Real Ale Festival organisers have been inundated with requests to hold a special Christmas festival.
Festival organiser Paul East said: “We are really looking forward to the Christmas ale festival. It feels a little bit like an end of year party.
“It’s going to be great to have a few festival ales to warm us all up in the winter months.”
Beerhouse Self Drive are stepping forward as the festival’s main sponsors.
The festival will be held in the main function room and in a heated marquee at the rugby club from 6.30pm to 11pm on the Friday (ticketed), and on the Saturday from 12noon to 6pm (pay on the door) and from 6.30pm to 11pm (ticketed).
Tickets are available from Beverley Tourist Information Centre on Butcher Row, Streamers on North Bar Within and online at www.beverleyrealalefestival.co.uk.
