Fire Service staff recognised for their commitment

The Long Service and Good Conduct Awards is held by Fire and Rescue Services across the county by Royal Warrant of Queen Elizabeth II.

On Friday 21 February firefighters and support staff from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service attended the annual event at the Guild Hall in Hull, where they received medals and certificates in recognition for their commitment of 20 years’ service and good conduct to the organisation.

The medals and certificates were presented by the Lord Lieutenant the Hon. Mrs Susan Cunliffe-Lister and the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Richard Hannigan.

CFO Hannigan said: “This awards evening is the highlight of the year for me. It is an opportunity where I get to personally thank staff for their hard work and dedication sustained over 20 years. It is important to let the staff have made it to this mile-stone know they play an integral role in protecting our communities.”
