Catfoss Finance has announced its long-term commitment to the area with the opening of new offices in Driffield.

The site on Spellowgate, which was formerly used for industrial recycling, has been transformed with the building of ‘Elite House’, an office suite in what will become landscaped grounds.

Work on the building is finished and the company’s staff have moved from Beverley. Further work will continue for two months to complete the new headquarters with off-road car-parking, tree planting and landscaping.

Catfoss Finance was formed in 2001 to provide finance to the farming, haulage and heavy plant industries and to work alongside the rural business community. Catfoss Finance is now one of the largest privately owned finance companies in the UK and the three directors are supported by an experienced team of underwriting and administration staff to manage the company’s growing business portfolio,

Expansion comes on the back of strong lending and the firm has helped clients ride out the difficult trading conditions of recent years.

Director Gareth Timmins said: “We’ve seen many larger competitors come and go over the years, but Catfoss Finance has always followed a policy of growing our business organically. We know finance and we know our trading sectors inside out, allowing us to form close working relationships with our customers and quickly assess how their finance needs are best served. We don’t use automated credit scoring, every applicant is assessed and underwritten on merit, and this approach has given us a strong advantage and, in many cases, has provided the lifeline our clients have needed to keep them in business too. Our new Driffield headquarters will provide us with a secure base giving us scope for further expansion and roots us firmly in the area we know and work within.”
