Facing a trial

A man accused of obstructing a police constable in their duty came before magistrates.

Mr Benjamin Joseph Hopkinson, 26, of Pomona Way, Driffield, pleaded not guilty to obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty in Driffield; failing to stop after a road accident on Eastgate South, Driffield; failing to report an accident to the police after allegedly causing damage to a Renault and driving a Ford on Eastgate South wuthout due care and attention, all on on Thursday 15 December 2011.

At Bridlington Magistrates Court on Wednesday September 5, presiding magistrate, Alan Hardman, set down the case for a trial at Bridlington Magistrates Court, on Tuesday 13 November, and granted him uncondtional bail.
