Driffield WW1 Centenary Service at All Saints Parish Church.

Driffield Town Council joined with a number of organisations in the town to mark the centenary of the start of the First World War over the weekend of August 2 and 3.

Driffield in Bloom organised a Tribute in Flowers on Saturday in All Saints Church, to which all the community were invited to see more than 20 floral displays reflecting the conflict and its impact on the town and people of Driffield.

On Sunday the community of Driffield and the surrounding villages came together to All Saints Church to mark the centenary of the start of the Great War in music, poetry and stories of the day as well as in reflection and prayer.

Driffield Silver Band and Driffield Community Choir led the hymns and Middle 8 performed a number of songs from the era, as well as readings and stories of those involved in the war at the time.
