Driffield homes to be refurbished as Hobson and Porter helps council to replenish housing stock in East Yorkshire

Hobson & Porter is pleased to announce it has secured a contract to help alleviate the shortage of affordable Housing in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The works will involve the refurbishment and repair of ex-Council Housing Stock re-purchased by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council from private owners to reintroduce back into the affordable housing stock in the County.

It is anticipated that 32 homes will be delivered in 2014 and 45 homes will be delivered in 2015, in various locations throughout East Yorkshire.

Two homes will be refusbished in Driffield - one of Eastfield Road and the other on Star Hill.

The works are funded in part by a grant from the Homes & Communities Agency.

CEO Jason Papprill commented “The shortage of Affordable Housing in the UK continues to be a major issue, and we are pleased to be able to utilise our local workforce to provide assistance to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s innovative initiative to address this problem.”
