Grain and seed suppliers James Mortimer Ltd, whose business was established in Fimber in 1869 by the famous archaeologist J R Mortimer, is about to embark on an extensive £1.5 million re-location project.

The company currently operates from the historic Mortimer’s Mill at Riverhead, where staff are involved in grain trading and the sale of agricultural seeds and fertiliser.

The firm, which employs 12 Full time staff plus commission agents and seasonal staff, is about to start work on new premises on Kellythorpe Industrial Estate.
