Humber NHS Foundation Trust Chairman Jane Fenwick today announced that David Snowdon, Chief Executive, is to retire from the Trust, effective from the end of June this year.

Mrs Fenwick said: “Whilst understanding David’s decision to retire, he will nevertheless be sadly missed by everyone at the Trust.

David Snowdon has provided us with superb leadership, passion and motivation over the past six years – his knowledge, understanding and experience has transformed the Trust and the way we deliver services. Dave consistently “walks the floor” and is well respected and regarded by us all. Through his excellent stewardship we achieved Foundation Trust status, successfully transferred East Riding Community Services to the Trust and continue to transform the way we work to secure ongoing cost efficiencies while maintaining excellent patient care. He has also led the development of strong financial, governance and risk processes.”

Humber NHS Foundation Trust will now take the time remaining before Mr Snowdon leaves to secure his replacement.

Humber NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, learning disability, community and addictions services to people from Hull and the East Riding. The Trust also provides specialist mental health services to people from across the UK.
