Can you provide cats with a loving home?

Beverley and Pocklington Cats Protection is holding an open morning at their pens in Woodmansey on Sunday.
They are still struggling with re-homing unwanted cats and kittens. Last week they took in 12 cats and two small kittens from a single home in Holderness, which makes the situation even more difficult.
The open morning will be held between 10am-1pm at 221 Hull Road, Woodmansey, HU17 0TR, with the intention being to find new homes for some of the residents. Admission to the event is by donation, either cash or catfood.
Branch co-ordinator Sheila Rees said: “The kitten season is slowing down so we had hoped to take in some of the adult cats on our waiting list, but the number of people parting with their cats due to breakdown of relationships, allergies, evictions and job loss seems to be on the increase.
“All adult cats from Beverley & Pocklington Cats Protection are vet checked, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.”
