New Bridlington youth club The Hangout held its first summer fair on Saturday and raised around £300 for club funds.

Formed in January this year, membership among eight to 16-year-olds has steadily risen to 120 and is still growing.

Around 50 members regularly join in activities at its Friday evening club nights at Christ Church in Quay Road.

The fair, organised by club leader Jo Miles and her assistant Adele Wainwright, saw a reasonable turn out of visitors and members who were able to enjoy a bungee run, duelling, stalls and amusements, hot dogs and a jumble sale between 10am and 2.30pm when heavy rain forced it to close early.
