A Beverley author is hoping to capture children’s imagination with her first picture book called Moon Cat.

Moon Cat, written by Marion Gamble, tells strange encounters and adventures of a cat on a moonlit night.

With rhyming text to encourage imagination and develop language and pre-reading skills, and bright colourful illustrations.

Marion, who has worked in child care and education for most of her working life, said: “It’s really important that children have access to picture books, in my job I often made up stories to tell to children and I thought it was time to try and get one published.

“I was very happy and surprised to learn that it would be published, I’ve got others I am going to resubmit to publishers too.”

Moon Cat is available from Amazon, Waterstones and local book shops.
