Beverley Westwood MIU closed 20 July for relocation to new East Riding Community Hospital

The Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Beverley Westwood Hospital will be closed for one day on Friday 20 July for the service to relocate to the new East Riding Community Hospital.

A new MIU will be open from Monday 23 July within the East Riding Community Hospital, Swinemoor Lane, Beverley HU17 0FA. The new MIU will operate the same opening hours of Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

The MIU can assess, advise and manage the following:

Fractures

Sprains / strains

Lacerations, cuts and grazes

Bumps and bruises

Bites and stings

Burns and scalds

Removal of foreign bodies / splinters

Minor eye problems

Minor head / neck injuries

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and NHS East Riding of Yorkshire apologise for any inconvenience during the relocation. Alternative Minor Injuries Services across Hull and East Riding include:

Hull - Freedom Centre Treatment centre - Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Hull - Bransholme MIU - Monday to Friday 9:00am - 8:00pm, Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays, 9:00am – 5:00pm,

Driffield - Alfred Bean Hospital, Bridlington Road, open 7 days a week, 9 am – 6 pm

Hornsea Cottage Hospital, Eastgate, open 7 days a week, 9 am to 5 pm

Additional urgent care is provided at the Walk-In Centre (based in Wilberforce Health Centre, Hull City Centre) - Monday to Sunday, (open bank holidays and weekends) 8:00am - 8:00pm
