beverley Minster Wedding Fair - The Vicar of Beverley Minster, The Reverend Jeremy Fletcher With the fashion show Brides

This week is National Marriage Week and - with Valentine’s Day nearly here, and 2012 being a leap year when women traditionally make proposals of marriage - it’s a time when more couples than ever may be looking to make wedding arrangements.

Added to that, Beverley Minster held their first wedding fair last Saturday, and churches, hotels and other licensed premises are poised to take bookings.

If you are planning to get married, the churches in Beverley and surrounding villages are here to help. A church wedding is the first choice for many couples, but these days not an obvious choice for everyone.

So, if you are planning your wedding, and would like to look into getting married in church, there are some really helpful resources to give you all the information you need.

National website www.yourchurchwedding.org has a host of useful information, including a facility to tell you which Church of England parish you live in.

More locally, the Beverley Deanery website (www. beverleydeanery.co.uk) will help you get in touch with any of the churches in Beverley and the surrounding villages and should be able to answer any questions you may have.
