2,000m copper cable stolen

POLICE are appealing for information in connection with a high-value metal theft in Meaux Lane, Routh in Beverley between 5pm and 7pm on Wednesday 8 February 2012.

An estimated 2,000m of plastic insulated two core copper cable was stolen from in between Meaux Lane and towards the A1035.

Police believe thieves used a vehicle in the theft, to help transport the stolen cable.
