Up your game

Driffield retailers please take note...

Myself, and I know a lot of Driffield residents want to keep local shops in our high street.

However, the shops need to cater to their local customers’ needs. It’s no wonder people shop online, go out of town, or go to supermarkets.

I recently tried five bakers in town and not one sold croissants.

I tried three jewellers on a Wednesday afternoon and not one was open, there is no fishmonger and no off licence in the town. Some shops display their goods in their window, but have no prices on them, others have no opening hours on the door.

Come on Driffield retailers, up your game and give your customers what they want, not what you think they want.

Thank you.
