Great concern for town

Dear Sir,

I have just read the article ‘Beverley residents moan at everything’ and am shocked at the council’s insensitive attitude.

Although born in Hull, on leaving school I worked at the Holderness Hunt Kennels. Moving to Beverley I joined the RAF under the Local Service scheme in 1958. In 1960 married in St Mary’s church. At the age of 13 was confirmed in Beverley Minster.

So although not a resident of Beverley and my travels have taken me far and wide my concern about the destruction of a lovely market town by such people who wield the power is great.

I would like to support the people in their fight and hope when I next visit the Setts will be intact.

Regards,

M.J.Allen (Mrs)
