PLANS to build 18 new homes on land off Eastgate South and Albion Street, Driffield, are to be considered by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Jagtar Singh has applied to the authority for outline permission for 17 new dwellings and the refurbishment of an existing railway cottage, with associated garaging, and an estate road.

The land consists of a parcel of waste ground adjacent to Eastgate South and a parcel of land formerly occupied by a coal merchant off Albion Street.

Planning documents indicate that within the coal yard there is a building which, although requiring refurbishment, is regarded as a 'solid piece of railway architecture.'

Driffield Town Council has no objections to the scheme.
