Local harpist Cerys Rees presented the mayor of Driffield, Coun Mrs Joan Cooper, with a special commemorative plate provided by James Coombes, venerable alderman of Ystradgynlais Council and Senior Chorister of ‘Cor y Gyrlais’, in appreciation of the especially warm welcome James and his choir received on their recent memorable visit to Driffield.

The handover ceremony took place during a meeting of the town council in the cpouncil chamber at West Garth, Mill Street.
