Artist gets reward from people

Tracy Savage was the worthy recipient of the people’s choice award at Beverley Art Gallery.

This is the second year that the gallery has run a people’s choice competition as part of the annual open art exhibition and it has had a fantastic response from the public with 200 votes cast.

Tracy received 30 votes for her quirky and humorous painting, Norwood, Beverley. The £50 cash prize was kindly donated by the Friends of Beverley Art Gallery.

The exhibition runs until Saturday so it is advised that anyone interested in viewing Tracy’s artwork, as well as all of the other wonderful paintings, drawings, sculptures and crafts on display, should do so quickly.
